Hi all
I am in the process of applying for Canadian PR -I am in the USA for the past 3.5 years.
I lived in UK for 8 years and in 2008 I came to the USA for training.Going back to UK after two months the immigration officials refused entry stating that I did not have a job in the UK-even though the visa I had at that time was Highly skilled migrant visa and having a job was not a necessary precondition for me to enter UK.
Now since I am applying for Canadian PR and one of the questions asked in the application form if I was denied entry to Canada or any other country-I ticked yes and gave the above explaination.
I am worried how much of impact my UK incident shall have on my PR.
Thanks
Ram
I don't believe you will have any issues because:
1. You disclosed the info truthfully.
2. You did not overstay in the UK; rather you wanted to return to UK based on good faith that your visa is valid for entry based on the condition you have stated above.
