What a pity I could not attend this fun filled afternoon - the only CD event that I have not been able to attend!

It has been just over a year when I had first suggested a physical meeting of CD members - to bring web friends face to face, and the first meeting was successfully organised and held at my place on Jan 10 2004. Since then, there have been a few more meetings, picnic, pot lucks etc and in my opinion, every participant has really enjoyed it.

Some members might have felt bad when I stressed that we meet at someone's home rather than at Timmies or Kelseys etc. and the need for someone to take the responsibility of organising such an event. But from all the worldly experience I have had, I feel such meetings at someone's home are more entertaining and built better relationships than meeting at a coffee house. I am very glad that Pramodji took the initiative to take up the responsibility, and continued till the end even without the attendance of any of the original organisors/administrators like Garvo, myself, BL, and Biomed (who all wanted to attend but could not due to either pre-occupation or last minute hiccups like me). Such organisations by people like Pramodji take a load off the 4-5 persons who have been toiling hard for over two years to make this site a wonderful place to interact, help and learn from. At the same time, Pramodji, I apologise for ditching you at the last moment - I know you had relied on my support and I could not help you in any manner, but from the looks of it, you did an awesome job. My congratulations to you and to all participants since it was a joint effort!

Following this - who is ready to take the next lead - for something around Christmas time (we should do such get-togathers atleast on festive seasons!!!)??

And then, once again - let me remind you - it does not have to be necessarily 40-50 persons. The first potluck at my place was only 6 families with about 20 in all, and that is where we were able to make some really good friendships between Pramodji, Garvo, BL, Saneev and Biomed.

Great work guys - keep it on!

Thanks for the nice words Chandresh ji. I know that even though you could not attend this get together in person but your well wishes were with us. You are right that I really counted on you and was disappointed when you also could not make it but none the less the advice and tips you gave me over the phone regarding organizing these types of get together really helped a lot. Every one shared the responsibility and made sure that we all should be able to enjoy the day in the best possible way and we sure did.

I look forward to attending / arranging this type of get together again.

Regards,

Hello friends,

The movie that was taken during the CD party is ready. I got the movie zipped and would like to send the softcopy to all those who have attended the function. Due to the file size I had to zip it into many small bits, so please bear with me for this. My e-mail Id is ramesh_kn@rediffmail.com. Please send me your e-mail id's for me to e-mail you back the soft copy. Thank you and have a great day,

Hi Ramesh,

Thanks for making the movie. You can send the same to Rashmi Bhai and he can post it on the forum. Alternatively, is it possible for you or Rashmi Bhai to post it on a FTP server so that we can also download it on to our computer.

I will also requst Teja Sahib to send the photos to Rashmi Bhai for posting on the site.

Thanks
