Did you try rolling back the firmware by doing a factory reset.

Don't forget to take a backup prior to a reset.

Hello Pramodji,

I did that, I went to the Rogers Kiosk and the person told me that nothing wrong with the phone but needs to adjust some security features setting in router from my office side.

Hello SS,

before posting here, I did three to four times to factory reset but no luck....

regards

Security features on the router - that could be the type of encryption on your router. There may be a mismatch between the encryption type setting on your router and your phone. Have you played around with those settings.

Have you successfully connected to an unsecure network? Have you tried connecting to a secure network at your neighbours or friends place?

As regards reset, you probably tried a hardware reset not a factory reset.

A factory reset will wipe everything from your phone, so make sure you have a backup on your desktop via Kies as well sync your contacts to your gmail account.

Essentially your firmware will be rolled back, and if the phone connected to your work WiFi previously, there's no reason why it should not connect after the factory reset.

RBO, it might be related to MAC address filtering being enabled in your office and might not be related to the update as you can connect from home. Just a hunch. Check with the office admin to see if they have enabled MAC filtering for Wifi.

1, Try connecting to Timmy's or Pizza Pizza or Public Library wifi s .

If you are able to successfully connect to them as well as your own house's internet that means the phone is okay.

2. Try checking with your colleagues who own S4 whether they are able to successfully connect to the office internet.

3. With all this information , get in touch with an IT support guy in your office (not a manager or director) ..He should be able to resolve your issue.

Thanks all of you for reply,

I can connect my phone at Home, Pizza Pizza, Toronto airport, Air Canada Centre, Public Library, Sandals, etc,.. without any issue and working great...only at the office open Wi-Fi for the guest not able to connect at all.

I talked with my IT director and he informed that you are not only the person who are not able to connect S4 phone but some more people in the office has a same issue. He told me that Samsung S4, Note 3, Note 4, Nexus, LG has a some android software security issue which is not allow to connect with our office network.

He is a A*****E too, I am not in the position to guide him that go beyond the limit and do some adjustment in router side. I know him very well from last 9 years that he is not going to do it.

My colleagues has a S3, Samsung Mega, Iphones, no issue at all and some of the phone is running on same software version...Kit Kat 4.4.2 but phone is working great without any issue...strange??
