having views is something different than how you express it.

Expressing your views does not mean you are allowed to harass someone.

Ask this guy to use the same wording on the street and see the result.

I am 1000% sure he will be in trouble.

He is just opposing the practice of halal because he feels it is a barbaric practice ..... he is not harassing anyone.

Halal practices are opposed by a lot of people .... no one is asking them to be sent back......... similarly a lot of people are opposing animal slaughter as a practice. No one is asking them to be sent back .... check PETA for more info.

And again i will stress you can use the same wording in streets .... you are free to express yourself no one is going to get into trouble. Welcome to Canada.

Meat products have been consumed by humans for last 10,000 years - so if they have survived without any problems, i am sure we will too.

It is like complaining about Ecolli contamination in veggies .... does that mean we should stop using veggies.

There are problems in the way the whole cycle of meat production is handled in modern times but at the same time the system can be rectified.

Just becuase there is a plane crash does not mean you stop flying !!!!!! you look at the cause and rectify it and same goes for industrial meat production. It is not a perfect process and needs to be adjusted regularly.

To add one more thing - Non-halal meat products have been consumed by humans for last 10,000 years (especially before Quran was written) - so if they have survived without any problems, i am sure we will too.

Those animals are food and I don't care how they are killed. They just need to be cooked right to taste good. If you have a problem with meat eating, gang on with PETA and protest.. Who cares. Just don't get into some stupid conversation here. Someone just asked for a halal restaurant, and everyone jumps gun to ridicule a religion. God. take it easy guys.. Have a stake or something.

Eating beef is norm in Canada, did you change your ways? Don't you demand vegetarian shit in every subway you go to? If you do, what makes you expect otherwise from fellow citizens?
