I would consider buying cloths from Canda. They are not cheap but you have to find good deals like 50% sale of so. Usually buying over Christmas is better idea.

Buy suits in India - the fit and cloth quality is not v good here. Sure you can get v good quality too but at a jaw dropping price.
Buy enough clothes to last a few months and slowly migrate to clothing from here. Some stuff here is v cheap like undies for eg. Last month in a rush I went to Globus in Mumbai and they were selling Jockey brand for rs 220 each! That's nearly $5! For 10 bucks you can get half a dozen or more at Walmart. Branded shirts in India are also v expensive. Not less than rs 1500 to 2500 & beyond. Here too you can get them for about $30. Store branded ones like George or Kirkland for approx $15.
Sure bring a decent amount of clothes but don't over do it.
Folks ,
I find a lot here recommending to buy in Canada . I realize I have made a few purchases and still continue purchasing in India when on holiday .
Please let me know where can I get shirts here in Toronto , comparable to the brand quality of Van Heusen / Louise Philippe / Zodiac in India and how much are they priced at .. on discounts and off discounts ..... ?
One or two shirts I brought at Sears were not good .. and Walmart quality does not seem to come close . I really want to try here ......
