Folks ,
Here is an update :
Parking Ticket issued Sept 2010 .
Applied for Trial : Sept 2010 .
Notice of Trial Received - Oct 2011 .
Date of Trial . 12 Mar 2012 .
Stay Application Faxed .. Dec 2011
Attended Trial . Requested for Pre Trial Stay Motion .. JoP asked the Prosecutor who responded that there was no such motion before the court. Provided the fax receipts from Dec 2011 to the Prosecutor & Attorney Generals to JoP ..... JoP initially tried to discourage that 11b was not meant for parking tickets ... and a stay in this regard may not apply ... 11b is stay of a charge for violating charter right of a speedy trial .
Showed 2 printed & highlighted case laws where such stays had already been granted as precedents . The Prosecutor tried to argue that Dec 2011 was too late for such a stay application .... But the Justice of Peace relented and impressed upon the Prosecutor that 18 months was in deed a long time for a speedy trial in a Parking Ticket case and that he is staying the charge ..... The Officer was present all along .. On a similar charge , the JoP voluntarily turned it down from $450/- to $100/- ...
Thanks to ticketcombat dot com from where I got all the information , knowledge , forms , procedures & the case laws .

Do not know whether to congratulate or console.. Eventually you will pay 100$s in eyeglass repair and gained experience and knowledge for lifetime...
Thanks for sharing the info all along.
On side note - I been keeping an extra pair of glasses in car since your first post and one in office, never got to use them, but as Murphy will say primary will break only when secondary not around !!
After reading 3 page thread, I realise that people are spending more time on accusing and arguing with Fido rather than helping or advising something... Mistakes happen.. and we are here on CD to help each other.... If you can't help at least stay away and do somthing more helpful to yourself rather then useless fight of words.
anyways, Fido, you are on the right track... Even if you plead guilty with explaination on the day of trial, you will definitly end up paying much less amount than fined.
I had a red light camera ticket for $ 350. I accepted guilty with explaination and ended up paying $ 150. So please do fight the ticket and share your expereince... and ya, ignore the people trying to accuse you
Thanks for your wishes but it has reached its conclusion & the charge has been stayed in a pre trial motion .... No trial , no verdict , no guilty ... the charge is stayed on technical grounds which is similar to the charge being thrown out .....
Wished to share this possibility with CD s for common benefit ..
