auto insurance $325 a month: can i do better?

I got my G2 license only last week. The best quote I got is from a state farm agent for $325 a month, provided I take another policy (ex: life insurance) with them.
Is this about expected or can I do better?
The car in consideration is a 2006 Toyota Corolla.

Car insurance in GTA is the most expensive in North America.
These are things which you need to consider to make it cheaper.
1. Car make / model. The older the cheaper.
2. Your home address - Brampton has the highest insurance rate dues to numerous claims.
3. How much you drive to work daily.
4. Experience on your license and speeding tickets.
5. If you have multiple insurance policies like home / life then you get line discounts.
6. Do you have a Driving Classes certificate.

Regrettably auto insurance rates have gone up again this year. I was with State Farm until last year, was paying $200 per month for a 07 Corolla, have a clean record with no tickets etc. Then suddenly they jacked up my rate to $300 per month - reason given by State Farm agent was an across the board increase. So I moved to TD Meloche Monnex (group insurance thru work) and I now pay $190. My renewal is up in 3 months and I have already started shopping around just in case the premium goes up again.
You should shop around to get quotes from various websites like kanetix.ca and insurancehotline.com. Also get a quote online from Johnson insurance (www.johnson.ca). Whoever gives you the best quote, go with them.

2. Johnson folks said they give insurance only to a full G license holder.

We bought a 2005 Volkswagen jetta last year.My husband got his G2 last year and the insurance was from Desjardins.we have been paying $210 monthly.

I called up desjardins, the quote I got was $400+ 
.
Anyway, I accepted the $325 quote and bought the car.
