MLS.CA now known as realtor.ca , gives no information to people, who want to sell or buy on their own. They keep the price for which a house was sold & the prices of the houses in that area, a closely guarded secret, just to protect their real estate agent's.

They put barriers & road blocks at every step, when you try to sell on your own. For the work they do, they are extremely over paid.

Whats new here, everyone knows that. this same system is in every developed country. I agree with the overpaid part, the commission is very high especially nowadays as the house prices are touching a million dollars in TO and Vanc.

I doubt it. This person you are quoting might be very intelligent and smart in his field. However he lacked the main traits that makes professionals ( people in general) successful.

1. Honesty.
2. Hard working.
3. Work ethics

No need for Full comprehensive insurance..not worth it for a used car.

Use a broker , sometimes they can give you a better deal.

Good suggestions above. There is no shortcut to get a discount in auto insurance. The insurance calculation is based on your experience in Canada and your location.

Dear TK, thanks, can I tell the address of one of my friends who lives in Richmondhill or for another one who lives in Scarborough. Don't they ask for any proof of residence ! I just need a decent four wheeler, not necessarily a van. Honda Civic or Corolla could be ok with around 10 years old model. But looks like even choosing a sedan will not bring the insurance price down, yes I can save on some initial cost and fuel, that seems a plus.
Fido, will try them, thanks
Febpreet, right now it's not possible for me to move to western canada, at least for the next six months I can't think of moving. Yes I will go for a small car and try to save some as I mentioned in TKs reply. Thanks for your advice.

Please secure it before 'NewDes' splashes it all over the internet. You need to change the privacy seetings.

Hasni,
Scarborough has no effect on the insurance.
Richmondhill, probably.
As adam said, are you looking at 3 rd. party or Comprehensive? For a 10 year old car, get a 3 rd. party.

As I have said before, you can use any address and they will accept it. But if you have an accident in which YOUR insurance company has to pay you, they will run all checks to see if they can avoid paying the money. You may get caught then.

So know the risk and play wisely within it.

Hasni,
I am looking for a very good sedan for you.
I have posted some offers in Kijiji (Toyota Corolla / Honda civic) for around 40% of the listed price. I will get all the vulgur scoldings and when I finalize one, I shall post it on CD for you and then you can talk it up directly with the owner. It will be entirely at your risk.

In the same way, I have also asked for 75% discount on many LED TV's listed in Kijiji. If someone wants one, I shall be please to share the details with them.

This is a new effort under taken by me (during my office time), to help CD's get cheap and discounted rates on may items where you feel shy to ask for 50-75% discount.
