Hi Desi friends,
Could you advise me where we can get good Indian or Ontario mutton (Lamb) in Mississauga for reasonable price?

Try Asian Meat Shop in Mississauga (Ceremonial dr). There is another meat shop at Derry and Airport Rd plaza as well.

Gupta is vegan....you can expect that from him.
Indian stores are little expensive and quality is not that great. You can also try Chinese stores. For Lamb, try....Metro or Loblaws or Highland Farms or RCSS (all these stores are highend and costly but good quality). We buy from Costco although little pricey but good quality. For Chicken...you can go Maple Lodge warehouse (WAREHOUSE not their store) on Wiston Churchille.
Lamb is smelly for me, i love mutton (goat)
Ask for Ran goat meat at desi meat shops, its reared and available in Ontario everywhere.
I am missing steak.
Among the shops I tried in GTA, I found the Iqbal something store in Thorncliff sold the best quality. I was able to compare it with what I used to get in India.
True, meat isn't good for us even Fish.

I have to agree. The meat sold at Iqbal's on 2 Thorncliffe is by far the best. Its freshness personified. Worth every penny.
