In today's Toronto Star the biggest security job scam was burst. How innocent new immigrants and jobless people were cheated by security companies making wrong promises for jobs in exchange of one day training a fee if $250.

We also had visited canada security services and they also asked us to pay $265/- for one day training and later on they ask you to pay another $ 80 for Govt. certificate. They promise placement but they never place you. I have 3-4 people who did this and got cheated.

my husband also got trapped in same before 5 years. that time instead of $250 , they asked $200. and he didnt get his certificate till toay.......

Okay so the Star reporter started an investigation but he hasn't mentioned actually filing complaints to the CRA or BBB or actually doing something about it other than just reporting? This story hasn't even hit the front pages of The Star! He just did this to make money for this article. Not really to help anyone. How typically 'Star' style.
