I tried to find if anybody had posted/discussed similar issue before, but could not find it.
I have a document issued by Canadian government, and I need to get it attested (original) by Indian Consulate, before it can be used by Indian government officials.
Has anybody done this procedure before? Does the consulate attest original documents? Their website does not indicate whether they attest original or photocopy.

Consulate General of India does attest documents.

For further details, phone them and ask.

I know about that link. Only thing I wanted to know is whether any original document can be attested, or is it a photocopy that is always attested?

What kind of document are you talking about?
I've never heard of attesting an original document.
