We 'tried' to watch full movie but couldn't tolerate. Till intermission, it was like 'enough is enough'. Just after watching for 10 minutes, even before we could say, our 7 years old daughter herself broke the silence saying: Mom, dad, I think this movie has too much violence (at the point when Aamir Khan kills a goon with some faucet or a pipe and takes his picture). So we stopped the movie and asked kids to sleep.
2nd attempt: Kids were sleeping so we (me and my spouse) thought lets finish the movie but believe me you, we couldn't even tolerate. What a 'pakaaoo' movie. I think the heroine is new, she overacts, overacts and overacts. Even Aamir Khan wasn't that impressive and the direction.....Aamir Khan is the MD of AirVoice and his office looks like a 'Open Terrace Office'. No office look as if he is some gunda who operates from 'under construction' building's 20th floor. When he receives calls from people after that 'Mayapuri' story, he stands up from his chair and chair falls. The furniture used in that scene looks like 3rd grade rental furniture, just regular chairs and just one simple 'shaadi tent house' table
We somehow 'jhelo' the movie till interval and then stopped. My wife said: lets watch the full movie and I was like what are you talking about? Do you still want to see this movie? and her reply was: lets forward till the end and see if Aamir Khan also gets killed or not because Ghajini will be killed, for sure and with him our super hero will kill 20 others in just one 'ghoonsa'
We never expected this kind of movie from Aamir. Once he tried 'Raakh' few years ago and now this one.

Just expressed my surprise Sanjeev and I was not implying anything else
I shall throw in my 2 paisas after I watch it...I am already half-hearted about it since it is a remake of a movie...but that's okay.

I just expressed my view to boycotting the movie then other guy came saying Ban me, are we really doing some healthy discussion here?
You are still missing my point. Do you have any newspaper article that shows SRK supporting PAK or showing his ties to terrorist/Dawood. We are talking about SRK - not about any other actor with Khan as last name.
Somebody called for ban on you because you used that kind of language
People with "Khan" surname has ties with Bollywood since beginning - starting with Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar.
And talking contribution of Muslims to Bollywood - boycott their movies and you boycott more than 75% of movies, even if you consider the lead artists - not just actors but music directors/lyricists/directors have a huge contribution to Bollywood.
And how about all the actors - Govinda, Johnny Lever, Anil Kapoor - who used to do the "Mujra" in Dawood's court. What do you have to say about them?
I am too surprised by Sanjeev's review
Of course as he says its his personal views
But one thing is sure, if you are FAN of Desvedniya, Mr & Mrs Iyer or similar kind of movies, you may not like Ghajini
I saw & really liked. Its too GOOD or exceptional
But next day I saw Slumdog... & thought its much better than Ghajini
Also Amir Khan's movies has some more expectation than some othar actors
Also this thread was about Rab Ne & Ghajini
So Ghajini is FAR AHEAD of Rab Ne in story, screenplay, acting, quality ete etc
One good thing was, I didn't see Momemto or Original Ghajini in Telugu
May be because of that I liked Ghajini more
Anyway I will again see once more soon
It is expected that Ghajini will become the first Hindi film to surpass the 100 crores-mark in terms of domestic nett collections.
Ghajini raked in close to Rs 900 million over the four-day weekend (25 December to 28 December). Ghajini has collected Rs 700 million from the Indian theatres while in overseas market it has pocketed close to Rs 200 million.
Ghajini is an absorbing thriller and AK has acted very well ... the movie is well directed and performed by every one and never lets you leave the seat .... definitely over violent and slightly depressing on that account ... AK lends a new image to every character he plays ... in contrast to SRK who is stereotypical ...
RBNBDJ is a a stereotyped SRK movie .... at times you realize the over acting / hype and yawn ... The strong theme has been down played by a weak direction & performance ..........
