(Will keep updating this in time)
Exceptional
Worth Watching
- Ishiqiya: Well made, well acted. Story line needed more plots.
Time Pass
- Raat Gayi, Baat Gayi: Well made, different .. but mostly boring.
- Rann: Could have been much better if RGV would not "over-direct" it.
Skip it
- Accident on hill road: Farooqe sheikh can not save a movie accident
- Hello…Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hai: billions of blue $)(#*$)(# barnacles
- Pyar Impossible: Impossible movie to tolerate.
- Dulha mil gaya: Has Fardeen Khan in it .. enough said.
*ing celina Jaitley and after a long gap comes back Farooqe Sheikh. This movie seems to start well but the story takes forever to develop and is quite average. As the title says the actress gets involved in an accident and how she goes about trying to cover it up. Anyway apart from Celina looking hot in some scenes this movie can be skipped.
This movie is a definite watch. Why? because after watching this movie, all the remaining movies of 2010 will be quite pleasing and entertaining :P. Yes this is a terrible film about a security guard (Rajpal Yadav) who is honest and has to overcome many obstacles in trying to marry the love of his life from his village. The director I believe was confused on whether to make this movie a comedy or a drama and left it no where. I feel sorry for Rajpal because he gets meaningless, senseless roles mostly in comedy movies where as he is a good actor (seen Main, Meri Patni aur woh?)
Skip it. Or well actually watch it, so that all the movies after this will be good
This movie has the stellar cast of Bheja Fry and again is a very "different" bollywood movie aimed at the urban crowd with lots of English in it. Story is about the incidents that happened during a party, leading to questions the next day about possible infidelity. This movie is well made, acted well, but apart from some funny portions is mostly boring.
So what do you do if your acting career is tanking. Well you first write this boring story, then on finding no producer, you produce the movie yourself and get another has-been to direct it. Uday Chopra has written and produced this movie and directed by Jugal Hansraj. This movie about a geek who wants his true love (Priyanka) to love him in return seems like an impossible match but like all bollywood movies we wait for the silly events to lead to a happy ending.
Uday Chopra is trying too hard and you can see it in his over-acting. The storyline is dismal. The movie can be skipped.
A story about how India media powerhouses have become commerical and corrupt and sensationalizing news instead of reporting the facts. Something that happens a lot in India. Amitabh Bachan plays a media anchor who believes in the principles of preserving the truth and Ritiesh Deshmukh is an anspiring journalist with the same beliefs. This movie has a decent story but the ending is obvious after a little while. The worst part of this movie is quite evident .... its Ram Gopal Verma. This guy has lost it .. he tries to sensationalize every frame of his movie. From over-dramatic background score when there is really very little happening on the screen to every frame having weird shots where his actors face is cut off. He tries to put the camera in all unimaginable places like under a table, shows the foot of people, behind showpieces, showing a driver with the camera where the car brake is. I think with his passion of finding every possible camera angle in every possible frame he should belong to the adult film industry . Ram Gopal Verma is trying too hard, but going against the benchmark of the "worst bollywood film ever" that he has set, RGV's Sholay, this is a far better film. Time pass.
But I will give Kudos to RGV for one thing .. that is showing how Indian media has become. Seriously India needs some investigative journalism .. it simply does not exist. All Indian news media does is report on "he says this, she says that, then he says this".
