Dear friends
I need to buy a BLENDER. I understand that we may not get a Sumeet here, but what is the closest alternative. Or, what is suitable for our cooking style.
We are new here, and I am not aware of whats best to buy where? and when

Hi
I just bought a blender yesterday. I had spent too much money buying blenders and they do not seem to last for long. I do lot of dal pureeing.
Someone suggeted Oyster..apparently they make the best blender. The one I bought from Sears yesterday costed with $110 with taxes. Its 600W. Try looking for metal on metal blenders which means the jar bottom circle things should be in metal and machine top blades where jar sits should also be in metal. That way the blender run for long.
