Dear friends,
I'm planning to move to canada sometime next year. However my temporary PR that was provided is expiring on July 2008. Can i get into canada and stay for a few days and come back to US to finish my job/assignment? Please can you provide your experience and advice on how i can get into canada and come back to US again. Also one of my friend told me that when he moved to canada they cancelled his remaining tenure on the H1-B visa.
Appreciate your help and advice on the same. Thanks in advance.

I sent the passport to buffalo and they gave me a stamping that is expiring in July 2008. Before that date i need to enter canada and get my Permanent Residence stamping.
Thanks for your help/advice in advance.

One of my friend said that when he entered into Canada with the PR, they actually cancelled his H1-B visa. Hence he was not able to return back to US. Do they do that at port of entry?
Also if i tell them that i will go back US to complete my job assignments and come back to Canada the following year, will that cause any issues at immigration?
Thanks again for your help.
