Hi friends,

As mentioned in my earlier posts....we had landed in Canada in last quarter of 2008 and after a stay for 10months,came back to India to join a good job for husband.

But were always in a dilemma whether to stay here for good or return back.Finally have made up our minds and will be returing back for good to Canada by summer this year.

Planning to land in Edmonton.

So any advices and views on current job market situation are welcome.

Welcome back. Though Canada is officially out of recession, getting a job is still scarce with the locals (unemployed by the recession) getting the first preference.
Have you given thought of moving / landing in Saskatoon, Sasketchewan?
Also, on a positive note, I have to say that the price of oil and minerals is moving up and hence western provinces like Alberta and Eastern provinces like Newfoundland may offer good growth / job prospects.

I can imagine how difficult those 10 months would be to come to a decision. Had been thru similar situation.
But If you don't mind can you share what made you to move back here especially when India's economy is booming? if not in detail even a brief line such as social/economical issues would be ok.
Job market I would say littler better compared to former Land of Opportunity.

U need to provide inputs on u skills..

IT is better in GTA.. Oil and Gas sector are good in West...

Thanks for all the inputs...TK yes, we are considering which would be the better place to land...But always prefering Emdonton -Alberta as we know the city pretty well...

Manserwadekar-We have still got 4months to be back..Yes it was a tough 10months intially...But as I was having a job there,we could manage those days...

But as you can say the decision has been always crucial and tough...Even before coming to India and now to go back...
Settling in Canada had always been the motto though we took the option to come back as a transition phase to India.
Thats the only reason to opt to come back....

What about you,are you also undergoing the same situation?

Husband is Mech Engr and in Oil & Gas Industry.

Job market is recovering.. It jobs are back , Oil Sector jobs will be next.. good time to return to canada..

For u guys Alberta is a good place to be..
