Photos are $5.49 + taxes for two copies at Costco.
We get our photos from http://www.epassportphoto.com/
Save the photos you need and get the print from Walmart for 19c. Yes, you might want to add the cost of gas to get the print.

Bombamma,
Thanks for your reply. I shall go there an hour before. Is it possible for one member of the family to stand in the cold and while other members come from Tim Hortons while the tokens are being given / while registration.
Also after I took the pictures and filled up the part A, it led to another link which gave detailed photos specification and which instructed that the photo should be taken with a light background ( and specifically mentions that the backgorund should not be white) where as my background is pure white. Should I retake the photos (cost $67) or just submit as it as assuming that the indian counsulate members themselves whold not know the rules?
TIA
TK A
If you have taken passport size photographs, they are not the size that is wanted for OCI. They have defined a completely different size (I think 3.5 by 3.5 which is a square photo)
I used my own camera, stood against a light coloured wall in my house and asked my son to click my photo. Later I downloaded that photo to my computer and printed multiple copies on one sheet. After that, cut them to the size they want.
Total cost I think would be about $2-3.
And yes I did get my OCI in time - I think 4-5 weeks.
Check the link in my reply above.

How did you print multiple copies on a single sheet? Did you use any software? Problem is that at Sam's Club etc you can print your pics only in standard sizes such as 5 * 7 etc. How to get around that? I'm guessing there should be some software where we can fit multiple pics on one single sheet and then print that sheet at Sam's Club.
Iceberg:
Thanks for the link. It is a great one. I have passed the link on to various nationality of people working in my office and have sent the link by e-mail to my friends.
To the rest :
I did try to take pictures with my digital camera. Due to side sunlight issues, All my pictures are sidelighted (though I used one of the best digital camera's in the market + used flash) and hence results in a shade 1/2 of the face. I also got info from another OCI card holder (who never uses CD website) that she also took the passport pictures from Walmart on a white back ground and was accepted.
Look forward to more views from the rest.

All I did was right clicked on my photo, and the menu gave me an option to print. On selecting that, it gave various options of printing the photo (how many on a page etc.) and I selected the one I wanted. Used the paper supplied with the camera purchase - and later cut each photo to the size wanted!
