Appartments close to Hwy7-Leslie

I have changed job currently iam working in Thronhill. I wish to relocate from Guelph. I am looking for a 1 bedroom appartment (range 700-850$) nearby thornhill dont mind 3/5 kms commute. Any suggestion which area i should look for like major intersection or if someone is living in that vicinity in a good appartment can suggest me. I am also looking in terms of closer to indian grocery stores and major candian grocery store.

Hi Vanshika,

I am not familiar with that location to help you. If some Desi members are residing in that location they can suggest you.

I think you need to visit the location by your self to get useful information about good apartments and condos.

One weekend may be useful to see the location and weekdays to finalize the apartment with the Super.

I live near Leslie/7. There are just new condo buildings in that area. If you're looking at spending between $700-$850, then you should look at basement apartments located in east Markham area. I doubt you will find a one bedroom condo unit renting for under $1000 in the Leslie/7 area.

LESLIE/HWY 7 is a good choice if u can manage the rent.I agree with Vimal

Thornhill as an area hardly has any apartments of regular nature. There are a few condos (Skyrise at Yonge and Clark) and one more at Bayview and Hwy 7, both of which are quite expensive. I used to live in Skyrise and for a two bedroom apartment, was paying a rent of 2,200/pm.

The apartments at Leslie/Hwy 7 fall in Richmond hill and are quite expensive both in terms of price and rentals.

Your best bet would be to look for apartments on east and west side of Yonge just north of 16th Ave (on and near Weldrick road). They are not only less expensive (not cheap though) and very convinient for shopping/schooling and transport. In that area you can also find some good basement units.

One of the biggest disadvantages of living in thqat area is there is hardly any Indian community and the nearest Indian Grocery store is on Dufferin/Centre and another at Duferin/Steels.
