Hello,

I have just come with my wife to Canada and will be staying here for may be an year. Planning to rent an apartment. I work in Downtown Toronto.
Looking for :
- 1 Bedroom apartment
- Close TTC access
- Nearby Indian grocery store
- Safe
- Budget $900 Max

Any suggestion would be really helpful.

Thanks.

Thanks Ram for pointing out the link. We were able to find apartments on this site but we are not able to find out if it is safe and we are also looking for Indian community nearby which is getting difficult to find out. Can you please suggest some good locations?

Apartments located north of Islington subway in Islington-Bloor intersection. You can reach downtown in half an hour.

Apartments in Thorncliffe park and Pape avenue in East York. Though majority of south asian population here are of Pakistani origin, there is a significant proportion of Indians living here. You would need to catch a bus to Pape subway and from there to downtown by train. It would take anywhere from 15 mins to 40 mins, depends on the location of your workplace.

Demographics in downtown area apartments is mixed, people from from all communities/countries are living there.
