Well guys from the information I have gathered around many posts, I have came to know that being a PERMANENT RESIDENT, I have to apply for a visa in order to travel to U.S. ( I have Indian passport issued in Hyderabad and valid upto 2012 and presently staying in Vancouver B.C.)
Now what I want to know is after paying the $100 U.S. fees for the visa, how many times can I come and go to U.S?
Well my sole intention to go to U.S. is for pleasure and shopping, my wife is a Canadian citizen so she dont have any problem, but if I want to accompany her then I need to have a visa.
I want to know if I apply for a visa? is it only for one time entry and exit? or I can always keep going and coming back through the same visa? Especially if I just want to keep returning the same day? Which visa category do I need to apply for this?
Your help would be greatly appreciated in this regard.
Thank's.

You would generally get a multiple entry B1/B2 visa and you can visit USA any number of times and you do not have to return the same day :)

The Visa will have to be renewed every 6 months ($6/US per renewal)

FYI :)

Correction....

Visitor Visas are normally issued for anywhere between 1 yr to 10 years multiple entry. When entering US for the first time for that trip, an I-94 is issued with fingerprints taken. This I-94 is valid for a max of 6 months.

At the end of the 6 months, the I-94 expires/or needs to be surrendered and a new I-94 can be obtained if needed or if entering again. Of course, the visa has to be valid for the I-94 to be issued.

Also, the $6 charge is only at the land crossing.

Ah... I stand duly corrected.

The I-94 is what expires after 6 months.
Thanks.
