here is my specific query. I have submitted medicals five months back with passports. Now I understand from CD posts that PR visas will be issued after Jan., 2006 ( as limit was exhausted or due to some other reason). My children's passports are valid till March, 06. Now My question is, if I get PR visas stamped around March, 06, then what to do? Can I renew the passports of children after getting visas? and in that case generally, how much time it will take for renewal with New delhi passport Office? and Shall I have to necessarily carry new and old passports ( visa stamped)? or is there any other alternative? Please share your comments. Another thing is that, the original passports are issued from Hyderabad passport office and due to my job, presently I am staying at Delhi. Shall I have to go to Hyderabad passport office for renewal or can i get it done from delhi passport office also. Please enlighten.

You might get the PP stamped soon..if the medicals expires during May06..then there do send a REMINDER about this to CHC As Soon As Possible.

Either by Fax / E-mail.

And pray that you get the PP stamped during Jan or Feb.

But, in case if, I get PP stamped after March,06, then what to do?

Regarding renewal of passport, you can do it even in Canada. But, do they issue visa on an expired passport? I don't think so.

As per rule, at the time of submission of Passport, it must be valid atleast for six months and when I submitted it to CHC, it is more than 9 months old and delay is from their part and not from our part. They are expected to issue visa before expiry of passport.

hi everybody, Once parents are in Canada on PR visa, how much time it will take to get PR visas for kids. That means parents in Canada sponsoring kids from India. Any inputs.
