I really appriciate it.

I QUIT that job yeaterday....May 11/06 at 1:30PM..........As he again came to office after driniking.........and he started yelling and screming at me.......I was so affraid of him..........Everytimes i used to see him in the office i used to shiver and everytime he used to talk to me I used to siver all the time. I was even affraied to tlak to him. I couldn't take it yesterday and i told him that i am leaving this job. I don't know if i did right or wrong but i couldn't tkae it.......i can't work like this........he has no right to yell and scream at me.....i work for him doens't mean i am his slave........I think he is going to be in a big shit after i left..........Because he can;t do any accounting work........He can't preapare payroll or GST payable or Payroll remitances.............When i started there............there was no information where i had to start..........I made all the files and everything.........some guy form GST payable came 3 weeks ago and when he asked himt (BOSS)........he didn't know what to say..........so i gave him all the info then he got satisfied and left............

I really appriciate everything that u guys did for me........I needed ur support.........u guys are the BEST.........I love this website and the ppl.....

Cool_girl - Now that you're out of that job, I suggest you should start looking at next steps, as TK suggested for EI. Try and get in touch with the labour board or whichever other agency/Govt. body and let them know about the situation and the reason why you left. This may help your successor.

CG,

Take this as an oppotunity for yourself to get a better job. From what you described , any other work condition should be better then what you were faced with.

"Every hurdle is an opportunity to improve"

You set up the office systems at this place and you have the experience,...so hopefully getting better work should not be very hard. This time start focussing on getting direct employment with a firm instead of going thru an agency.

If you need help in any specific aspect of job search, post it here and you might get some help from people with expertise in the area you need help. Also try to attend the seminars i posted on another thread.

I support this cool_girl. A friend of mine left the job as his boss was asking to work for more hours. He worked like that for 1.5 years and one day when it was too much, he called in the morning that he is not coming to work.

Than he approached for EI and got it - without ROE (The employer have to give the ROE to the EI authority)..... Workplace harrassment is a valid reason for quitting the job and qualifying for it.

Give him one more shit by appying for this.

Also drinking at a workplace must be prohibited. Have you checked it with someone?
