Hi,
I am moving to Mississauga next week.
For new phone connection, which company is better?
Is there any service which offers unlimited calls within Canada and US?
Thanks.
Hi,
You might want to consider the VOIP services, which are fully loaded with features as well. and more importantly unlimited in US/Canada.
if so you can explore the follwing companies.
vonage.ca - http://vonage.ca/
primus.ca -http://primus.ca/home.html
I am using the lingo in US it is the parent of primus in canada. Serivce and quality are good as well.
I heard call dropping and noise disturbance from many people. They may not be good as these sound to be.
I believe for phone line do not compromise; take Bell or Sprint which is rogers now) and use long distance from other service provider whichever is cheap.
Many people keep cell phone only instead of land line that all depends on your need. If you have a family, you will not like to go for it.

Hi,
According to my understanding, I need to take the landline with Rogers and take the long distance service with some other provider. Is it right?
When I checked, ww.primus.ca, they say that they give the landline with unlimited calls to US and Canada for $54.95. Is it reliable? How is the quality?
Thanks.

Keep in mind the landline being offered by Rogers is a VOIP too. Rogers will not openly admit that. My neighbour works for Rogers Telecom, and he mentioned that to me. Infact I've seen it at someones place, and it's hooked up to the cable line. All the guy did was call up Rogers and ask for a landline, and that's what Rogers did.
