I am so sorry tikkumal but I don't get what you said. As you said in your earlier post that monthly charge for phone is 15.95 but in latest post of yours you are saying that the cost will be $5.00 pm. If you can please clarify.
Does that phone company allow porting existing phone number?

How s the quality ??
I still feel that this $15/month province wide unlimited calling plan from Public Mobile is a hit and is bound to dent the cellphone as well as land line market ....
$15 / month is the best it gets as of today and that too unlimited incoming / outgoing calling .

What say guys .............. is there some thing I am overlooking here ? Has anyone used these plans and how has the experience been ?
This is a very good question. However here are some things to think about:
1) are you a person who likes to chat for long hours on the phone? is long distance to India/other countries just as cheap on cells as it is on land lines?
2) radiation - if you do like to chat for longer periods or make more frequent calls, would you want a cell phone stuck to your head all the time? most people use bluetooth for when they are driving.
3) Family usage - do you want to pass your cell phone to every member of the family to use? Most people I know keep their phones for personal use and dont like to share.
Just some things to think about:
Im old school - I like having a landline. It allows me to minimize my cell usage to emergency only. I dont like the idea of being so attached to a radiation stick
