Best one is Citibank..
I have NRI account and absolutely satisfied.. I even had little issue with one of the checks being fraudulent for rent payment and they took care of it over email.. no issues with phone either..
Less charges and no big deal..
All of a sudden I see lot of ICICI related complaints on the web.. but then they had explosive growth in past 5 yrs.. I was wondering if I should go with them due to number of offices in India and here.. but now I know better!
Congress is back.. communists are back..! so is Red-Tape, lack of customer Service and corruption in even private companies!!
India is back on the track.. !!! to the land north of nowhere..:)

Well CITIBANK may have great NRI services, but back home, they are no better than loan sharks. Do you know that the Bombay high court had restrained them from using goons and goondas to collect debts and snatch car keys?

Do you know what they charge as normal interest? 36 % per year. And yes it is legal!

So much for CITIBANK. Everyone there in India knows that they just sweet talk people into getting into debt (like many financial institutions in the west)

I have yet to find a handful of Indian run businesses that focus on customer service as essential in this day and age. And you know why? Because we, as consumers validate that business plan by frequenting those establishments.

We make the choice between that extra quarter percent (per year) and good customer service. I believe that is the classic case of penny wise pound foolish.

Look at the feedback I left on the EROS ENTERTAINMENT site just a few minutes ago. I am never going to deal with them again. This is the second time I had this run around from them. The first time, they claimed they shipped the DVDs, gave me a tracking number and yet UPS did not have that number in the system. I recieved the shipment 3 weeks later, and was shipped 2 days prior to that.

=====================================

I recieved your email about the specials for diwali dhamaka. As a Bollywood fan, I collected a list of almost one hundred titles in my shopping cart. Unfortunately the shipping came to over $400 and the DVDs were about $320.

So I emailed Raj Dhillon, DVD Sales Manager (raj@erosentertainment.com) to see if he can do something about the shipping on such a decent sized order. Do you think I got a response? NO!

Undetered, I emailed customer service (customerservice1@erosmultimedia.net) with the same issue. Do you think I got a response? NO!

Lo and behold, I recieve another email for the same promotion. I reply the email with the same issue - do you think I got a response? NO!

I would have to say, YOU HAVE THE LOUSIEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS! Plain and simple.

You should see the absence of basic "Hello" by the counter staff at some of the desi grocery stores.
Some of them just dont care. There is a store here (actually operates within a store) and serves fresh made stuff mostly mughlai. YOu go to the counter and the guy is like "What" or is on the phone right in front of you while looking you in the eye.

The food is good.
But I had enough and walked out sometime back and never go there again.

There was anothes store close to my house where the "dude" would just sit there by the counter when you walk with no expression and no hello , no nothing. Same when you went to pay. That store seems to have been bought by some other desis who are a whole lot better.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

On recent trip to India, I could not get passbook update at a bank (one of public sector banks, not ICICI) because their printer was "out of order" for a week, they would not do manual entries and they did not offer internet banking at that particular branch. You really have to "fight it out" at banks there.

2. Many a time, I found that the tellers are on a " On the job" training. Which means - you go to the bank to do a transaction, and the teller is being trained "HOW TO" log in, make a debit entry, make a credit entry, how to fill in a form (No kidding).

How about ICICI bank? I don't think so. They are just a bunch of shameless unprofessional jokers who have set up shop here.

I totally agree with all the posts on this topic. ICICI Brampton has the lousiest customer service compared to other Canadian banks. I made a mistake of opening an account there, just for the sake of "national pride". I am bit lazy about sending the feedback on ICICI website, perhaps I should do it.

In February, I wanted to buy some RRSPs so I went to their bank. First of all, the receiptionist's tone was so low, that I could hardly understand what she said. Then she said, that there was no appointment available for RRSP till March :D So much for meeting 28th Feb deadline. They were'nt even interested in getting business.

Also, if you have an account in Indian branch, two way transfer is not possible. You can send money to India, but cannot access your money in India.

Regarding customer service in any desi store or restaurants, I wonder if anybody knows the word "customer service". Or is it that we desis do not care about getting customer service?

Recently, we went to a restaurant called "Taj Mahal" near East Beaver Creek and Hwy#7. Last time we went there, the food was really good. But this time, it was a really bad experience.

First of all, there was only one person taking care of entire restaurant. There was nobody to show us the table and take our orders. The label on the food counter told there was veg soup, but both soups had chicken pieces. When I asked, if they had any veg soup, instead of providing me with veg soup, flatly told me that there was no veg soup. Also, even though it was lunch time, the food was cold and tasteless.

I live in Brampton and there is a store called Atlantic video. THe previous owner was really nice. The new owner has a big attitude. If we ask for any movie, he will give us the movie as if he is doing some big favour for us. And if you ask for any old movie or off-beat movie, he will make you feel, as if you are doing some capital offence.

And there is one video store right near my house near Indian Punjaabi Bazaar. Those guys simply don't talk with you if you enter their store.

At the end, I just stopped watching Hindi movies. Rogers on demand, still does not have a good collection.

So the list can go on and on.........
