I want to sponsor my wife , who is in Pakistan ,can u tell me ...... do i have to submit ORIGINAL of all DOCUMENTS eg NIKANAMA(marriage certificate) , EUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS , Police certificate etc......... just want to know that do i have to submit ORIGINALS or can i submit photocopies of these docs. my wife recently got visa from ISD. you have to send original Nikah nama , birth certificate, and Police certificate. You can sent potocopies of your wifes educations doc.

thanks akhan73ca for the reply , plz tell me few more things , like ur ORIGINAL Nikahnama mean the 1 which is in URDU or u mean its Original ENGLISH TRANSLATION and if u send ur ORIGINAL URDU NIKAHNAMA , how and when do u get it back? and my wife dont have er birth cert, what should i do, and yes plz also tell me how much time it takes to get VISA from ISD ,can u give me the timeline plz Thanks very much

if you have urdu nikah nama, you should send that plus the translated tested copy as well with it. you will get all your original paper back with your visa. I f your wife doesn't have Birth certificate better to get the copy from hospital or send a affidavit that she don't hava birht certificate with nottory public attested.
In my case from aprovel to visa grant takes 4 months.

Thanks akhan73ca , i also want to know , do they ask for the INTERVIEW of the spouse(WIFE) before granting visa ? what happened in ur case , was there any interview or they just ask for the passport n give u visa . thanks again for the info.

After 3 months of file transfer to canadian embassy ISD. They send letter for passport request. they return the passport in 0ne week. NO interview.
