How do you decide who deserves it? and if they sat on their asses for 800 years.. they deserved it since they certainly did a good job of booting out the other silly people who sat on their asses of 1000's of years.

Any system that claims that it can find fairness by discriminating against another group .. is corrupt and it is only a matter of time before it falls apart. It is happening in India.. that is why you saw people fleeing for the past 20 years. If reservations are required in the private sector.. you will see another flight.. and it will be of indian companies moving to other countries.
When you hang the gujrat chief miniter.. make sure you take all the other fundamentalists with him .. dont discriminate..
