A local, well-established consulting engineering company is seeking to fill the following 2 positions:
NOTE:
For both positions, P.Eng. Designation is ideal, although employer is somewhat flexible. Must indicate your status towards achieving your P.Eng in your email message or on your resume. Those who have not investigated or applied for P.Eng. Designation need not apply.
Intermediate Structural Engineer:
-Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
-Design of footings, mezzanines and other facility structures desired -solid communication, organization and MS Office skills
-will be involved in expansion of industrial facilities
Senior Mechanical Engineer:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-solid skills in team building and supervision
-Utility Design, Piping Design and HVAC skills desired -Background in or familiarity with utility design -solid communication, organization and MS Office skills
-will be involved in expansion of industrial facilities

Is PE really required?
I mean is it a legal requirement without which an engineer cannot work in Ontrario?
I have heard of cases where people got hired without that.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
I think if u have already applied for PE then employer can consider you for the job. I think it is all written in the mail which i got from new canadians. i think there is no harm in sending resume.

Not , its not for me. It was a general question.
I was talking to a civil engineer nd he said one can get hired without a PE. The type of jobs where this would happen is a Site job and not say a Design Job.
