Anyone applied for citizenship from ottawa in july 2004? I did but I have not get the test date or finger print notice yet. Any response would be appreciated.

I will take about 12 months before you are asked to come for a test.
May be by July 2005 ?

We applied for citizenship in feb 2004. Just finished the written test today 30 march 2005. Another 3-4 months for oath.

Applied -Feb 2004
Became Citizen -Mar 2004

Here is my timeline of my citizenship process!!!

We received your application for grant of Canadian citizenship (adult) on March 30, 2004.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application, and a study book called A Look at Canada on March 30, 2004.

We started processing your application on June 08, 2004.


Your file was transferred on November 18, 2004 to the Woodbridge office for the citizenship testing and taking of the citizenship oath. The Woodbridge office will contact you to write the Citizenship test.


Got letter on 3rd Dec that my citizenship test is on 17th december.

Got letter on Feb 2nd that my oath is on feb 16th.

I did my oath on feb 16th and applied for Canadian passport and got it today.

I'm a Canadian citizen.
