Folks
Hello everyone
Like all other immigrants I too had one helluva time in Canada before sneaking in a comfortable job.
I guess the information available to folks planning to leave india to settle here is extremly limited. Looks like we can get some info about immigration but none whatsoever on what happens when you land here.
As I went thru hell myself and have learnt quite a few tricks since then, I am planning to make a small informative pay site for highly educated iimigrants from third world countries about the ground conditions here, how to find jobs and what to expect upon arrival.
Does anyone know of any such website or service at present??
Is this kind of info available at all anywhere? And I specially need input from folks in India who have applied for immigration to find out what and where are they getting this kind of (mis)information ?
Please advise.

Not one reply so far.
On one hand we cry that we never get correct information before migrating to a new countlry, on the other hand when I am proposing to make a simple site , there is no input by anyone.
where is everybody?

What is this site canadiandesi then? Whatever you are planning to do is all here - that is free? What else you want to provide?

and why the pay site (come on dont be like the typical canadians- make money out of everything). u can give the service free to your desi brothers and sisters..

I think Canadiandesi.com is the best site i have ever found.

I am planning a make a simple site with, believe it or not, fee of mere $9.99. If response is OK I will lower it to $4.99

Those blood suckers immigrant consultants ask for minimum $500.00 for such stuff and promise you the moon...........
Th emost important part is that prospective Immigrants need to respond to this thread...they are the ones that will benefit, not me..I earn $35/hour already.

When you can contribute using this site - why you need to create another site? We have all kind of information here.

We welcome any of your contribution.

Now regarding your plan for making it payable, I doubt it will work. There are many and many websites are becoming paid now, true, but all of them started with free and converted to paid once.

Think about it.
