This was one experience to learn ... Good for we people ... bad for Him & his Fmly.
I would say one thing AVOID CROSSING THE BORDER NOW. As you are FLAGGED !!!
One thing to note that you didn't changed the border. You Crossed at the very same location. It was good move to reflect that you are genuine.
This may be your First Post from US ... but you might have to keep replying a lot ...

I went to US last month with my family on Visitor Visa ...
And absolutely no problems at all ... not at Visa Office, not at Border, not while coming back.
They infact were generous enough to give me good span.
It seems that ... the mood of officer here depends on TIM HORTONS and/or SECOND CUP ... !!!

That's what my Attorney suggested. If we go to the different border post, they may smell something is wrong or something I am trying to hide. Actually I insisted on going to the Detroit, but Attorney strongly advised against it.
Thank goodness I took his advise and went to the same border post the second time.

Right on...I went three times to the same border post, except for the first time the immigration officers behaved very good.
The first time the way the officer behaved really gave me huge shock.
(As if I did horribly wrong )
B'cos I worked for 6 years legally in US, paid taxes the whole time and I haven't been out of status for not even a day. During those 6 years in US I didn't even get traffic ticket.
My attorney advised me to sue the immigration officer. But I haven't noted that officer's name or badge number.
I haven't saw the guy when I went there the last week and yesteday. 
America suck Big Time!
