can i apply for my wife's visa (and my 6 yr old son) under family class even though i dont have a job in canada. I am permanent resident of canada

have applied for my family's visa. how much time does it take to get the visa. i have alreday done my family's medicals done from India as per the new rule. i am presently in canada and is a PR.

does it take a longer time

The official time given is 4-6 months. However, I've heard first-hand from 2 desis that their recently filed applications took just 3 months!!

CIC's definately doing some good stuff here....

Spousal category is given Top priority. 6 months max.

we had 3 clients whose spouse's joined them in 7 weeks from India.
