hello all,
i'm international student in ottawa. i got my G2 last month. i just wanna ask tht can i get taxi licence bcoz some of my friends said tht international students cannot apply for taxi licence. is it true?
i know there is 1 week course for taxi. but can student get taxi licence. thx

you have G2 where as for taxi licence you are required to have G in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton. Rules will be same for Ottawa too. I dont know about student applying for taxi licence but simple logic works if you are not allowed to work on students visa then how can you drive taxi to earn?? Probably person having taxi licence may share his licence with you during night. IT IS ILLEGAL but, you will earn fare amount of dollars.
