You know he was known as Diogenes the Cynic too? Why do you ask? Do I see you sharpening your stone arrows with my userid and getting ready to throw at me ??
Just thought you should know some more about Diogenes (in case you didn't already). I quote from the following website:
http://www.monad.com/sdg/Journal/cynics.html
"Diogenes of Sinope ............who was famous for, among other things, going around Athens with a lantern in the daytime waiting for someone to ask him what he was doing; living in a barrel; and masturbating in the marketplace"
"Diogenes' nickname was "Kuon", the Dog, after the general filthiness and nastiness of his habits, "
Not a personal attack, just thought you should know.

I guess you only feel it when it comes to you, huh?
Hit the nail on the head BL! Any crap should fly as long as its not directed against me...because then it becomes unfair and unjust...amongst others.
You just proved my point!!

See, how you prove me right everytime?? Is this the best that you could come up with??
You do seem to have spent quite a bot of time and effort though to go around researching websites and finding information about my userid, just so that you could do some mud slinging!!
I am flattered though!!

I don't think I ever said that! I did mention about the puritanical attitude of desis where they consider drinking as "evil" and assume that all desis drink to get drunk. Since you remember everything so well, would you mind giving me the link to the post where I said that?? I shall indeed be obliged. Else I hope you will be charitable enough to retract the statement!

I do retract the statement. What you actually said(which I consider even more immature) was that one of the reasons we find it difficult get accepted to the mainstream was because desis do not consider drinking acceptable(which itself is flawed. Most desis I associate with...drink

. )Besides, you really think drinking is important to get accepted into Canadian mainstream? What is this 'mainstream' you are talking about?
Do a search for 'wisernow' and 'drink' for more details
what you said was:
"...When will we be able to accept drinking responsibly as "fun" and socially "acceptable"?
That's one of the reasons why we "desis" find it so difficult to get accepted into the Canadian mainstream. ... "
People who take umbrage over words like 'whiners' should know how to construct sentences without provoking. Respect is a two way street and not dependent on the whims, emotions and 'feelings' of one party alone.
Though you have not exactly been charitable to people like Atul,VJ or me... I WILL be charitable to you. Further I also give you the benefit of doubt by considering that what you actually were trying to highlight was the puritanical attitude of * few* desis with regard to drinking. So lets all move on...unless you want to be right again.
As for me...I have a cpl of bottles of 'Havana Club' that I brought from a recent vacation. They demand immediate attention(well atleast one of them). However they also leave a bad hangover(headache)the next morning . Anybody have a remedy? DTC?? i'll need it tomorrow.
