Can someone gimme insight on this.
I would like to get an idea about the kinds of jobs that I would have to initially take up so as to make ends meet.
I am a S/w Process Consultant. (4 yrs exp)
I have completed my medicals and got the landing papers as well.
Medicals expire in March 2005.

I was also thinking about doing an MBA part time in Canada. Is this a good idea? Or do you think that I should work on some temp job for a few months before I enroll in an MBA course?

:-)
Mickey

Factory jobs: packaging, picking, loading, assembly etc. But make end meet is fine but always focus on your main career job

Better are security jobs. No lifting of weights, clean and easy enough to perform. Except that one is likely to do night shifts.

* Very low pay. Min wage i.e. about $7/hr. Also you will not get 40 hours / week. Factory Job upwards of $10 /Hr + 40 hrs a week.

* IT would be very difficult to get into any office Job because you would not have the communications skills...or so the Canadians think.

* Yes. After you land you are free to do anything.

ooooh, forgot to mention that though Labor Jobs will pay you a little more and maybe get full time (40 hours / week), they might hurt you physically and I mean long term damage to your back, joints etc......

Depending on your age, you may or may not recover completely over a period of time after leaving such a Job. Surgery might be required.
