I have been in toronto for last 2 years on a student visa. Earlier this year, I filed my papers for immigration under federal skilled worker category at CHC Delhi for which I received a file no. after a month. The letter I received with my file number mentioned that the current processing time for skilled worker class category in delhi is 44 months. I am clearly not keen to wait that long.

Meanwhile, I and my girlfriend have decided to get married this year. She is a Canadian citizen and lives in Toronto. I would appreciate if I can get some advice on how to amend / change my immigration application once we are married. Should we start a new application process where she sponsors me and I file a new application under “in Canada” category or I should simply inform CHC Delhi of my marital status? Or there is another way which will make the process faster?

Your wife can sponsor you. It's faster. You may withdraw your skilled worker application. Informing Delhi about your marital status won't change much.
