Hi Northwind,

I feel it is better to apply on your own rather than doing it through an agent.

Your application should be presented in a professional way, in a booklet form, like how the lawyers usually do with an index and separators and information asked with all the relevant copies etc. Your application should be completed without missing any information required by them.

Since you are based in Dubai, you can file the application to CHC London with interview in Abu Dhabi.

My application was filed with all the relevant details required by them along with a note asking to waive my interview as I meet the criteria set by them for immigraiton.

Since the file was complete in all ways, they did not come up with any additional queires and my interview was wiaved.

Thanks Kuwaituser,

That's reassuring.

One small query, Ashish gave a very good suggestion that all documents must be notarized. To notarize the copy what exactly needs to be done-I mean we got to get it stamped from some court or something or can we self attest it.

Hi NW,
I think you r getting the right advice for your case, just do not waste your funds on this issue, you have such nice & organised forums where from you can get reply of your doubts faster than any consultants could ever give you.
Still for you satisfaction please go through this sites too and get your queries solved
http://www.immigration.ca
http://www.settlement.org
http://www.discovervancouver.com
all this sites are forum like this one where from you are in constant touch with all likeminded persons always eager and most willing to help all the prospective immigrants.
I was unfortunate not having known of all this before.
Self attestation shall not work in lieu of notarisation, I am not aware of Dubai procedures but it does have to be attested by some govt. authority

Hi Northwind,

We did not notarize any of our documents, as the original documents are usually submitted for verification at the time of interview. However copies of the certain documents which we have to submit, we sent them coloured copies to give an original look (marriage certificate, birth certificate, marks cards etc)

However, if you want to notarize the documents, it can be done in any public notary office situated in Dubai.

Since we did not have an interview, they did not verify our documents.
