anybody used orbitz.com to book flight tickets? is it safe?

These fares quoted were for the week it was posted. But they are very reasonable ones and from GTA Areas. For Vancouver Area, you have other airlines that fly out to FAR EAST and to Asia. They are also reasonable. Please see the link below. Also call them and get a quote. You never know what the real fares are for the period that you want to travel. The schools close in the next few weeks and there will be a mass exodus.

I tried to book through ORBITZ. The figures quoted looked good and when I went to the check out, it totaled to 1.5 times the figure. So, what they quote there on their website is in U.S. Dollars. It goes to show that there are no such animals called CANADIAN DOLLARS in the International Markets. Especially here in the travel Industry. So, Watch out!

Yes it is safe and good customer service. You can cancel your booking with in the stipulated time either online or by calling CSR.

Check prices in the final price you pay as it could be different from what you see earlier due to taxes and conversions.

I generally use galatravels.com and then someone suggested nanakflights.com as well.

personal experience with Nanak Flights...worst service...terrible people to deal with them... Typical Indian style air booking agencies..."Ho jayega ji..koi baat nahi ji...mai baitha hu na baad mai kar dunga...etc...etc..."

We booked 5 tickets last year to India 6 months earlier before our departure date with Nanak flights. Service was so terrible, lots of mistakes in names and price which was quoted over the phone. Even after requested to try to get all seats together, Agent told me that is not possible until before 48 hours flight time. When we tried to call agent no answers no reply for VM. When we reached at airport we got seats all over places. two seats together and rest of them each seat in different raw.

Recently we booked tickets directly with Etihad and Emirates airlines....Check with each airlines sometime they have a special prices too.

While booking tickets should watch out for restrictions like date change and cancellation penalty. Sometimes going directly to the airlines site offers the best deal, so check that as well.
