I had a couple of questions regarding application for OCI card -

1. If I got PR as a dependent with my parents and I am independent and married now, do I still need to attach my parents' landing papers with my OCI application?

2. If I don't have original landing papers, can I attach self-attested copies of the same?

3. My wife is a US citizen and does not have canadian landing paper. What affidavit do I need to attach for this situation? Does anyone have a sample of this?

4. How long does the entire process takes, once I have submitted all the documents?

The whole process is so complicated and half the documents they request are completely unnecessary. I wish they would streamline it to make our lives easier.

They are only the people who can answer you correctly if you ask in Indian community you will get hail lots of different reply and you will be confused however in the end only BLS canada is only the office who does the process between India and Canada. They are authorized from India only.

First of all if someone is US citizen then he/she can come to canada without any visa .

If you still have any doubghts then you must have to ask this question to Canada Immigration as you need landing paper (IMM-1000) or call them.
