Some family physicians here just ask you what medication you would like them to give /prescribe to you 
, when you visit them.
Going to them is like going through a subway turnstile or Revolving door ! NEXT !! That's how they look at you, when they see you coming 
They are laughing ALL the way to the bank BTW on tax payers dime
This is sad 
but every bit of what you said is true.
I learnt this the hard way, had to visit my family doctor multiple times to get an EnT refferal, finally they reffered me to EnT with a 3 month waiting and when I asked them to try other EnTs they want me to come to the clinic again so that they can swipe my OHIP card again.
This is the reason I started looking for genuine family doctor, who can refer me to specialist if he/she doesn't understand the complications.

There is nothing in it for them, so they don't care, but it only shows how incompetent & wrong their diagnosis was
. You have to absolutely insist & demand on seeing a Specialist 
Most OHIP doctor's work on a 70:30 split. The medical clinic owner gets 30 % & the 5-6 doctor's who sit there the remaining 70 %. its like a factory ou there.
Most medical clinics also get a subsidy in rent etc from the pharmacy besisdes it
. Have you noticed almost all Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall Pharma Plus & other pharmacies have a medical clinic right next to them. Bcoz they subsidise their rent ! in return the docs right precriptions, which generally get fulfilled at the pharmacy next door At the pharmacy the pharmacist aka Compounder in India will count pills, lick a lable & stick it to your bottle for $ 11.99 per prescription at SDM, Pharma Plus etc. The Pharmacist are making $ 100,000 + for that
I am actually thinking of opening a Medical clinic myself . Very good income, 30:70 split with the doctors
I will hire a good looking Gori as a receptionist so people like TK always come to my clinic . I won't discriminate whether a desi or gora comes, as their OHIP cards are the same and I just have to swipe them.
I will open it next to a shoppers drug mart, as they subsidise your rent to some extent , as they get lot of walk in prescrptions from your clinic. Win win situation for both.
I will also keep 1 gora, 1 chinese , 1 black, 1 desi doctor, so as to not lose business of various races .
I will also throw in a MUSLIM HIJAB wearing FEMALE doctor, as Muslim women only want a female doctor and their husbands also only want a female doctor for their wife and maybe for themselves too
TK is an architect so I might hire him to design and build my medical clinic, he can also work there as a Manager if he wants. He can sleep there at night, NO rent for him . I can pay him cash if he wants. He can collect welfare and take cash payment from me. Food Bank facilities will also be provided.
I will pay him less than other Gora managers, but it will be cash and above facilities will also be available to him. So just with TK, 1 Gori receptionist and myself, I will be running this clinic to keep costs down . Doctors will be basically Freelancing with a 70:30 split, like most docs here, that's the going rate.
I will also go ONLINE under different names to write FAKE good reviews about these docs, so I get more patients. At the same time I will write bad reviews about the other docs in my area, so more people come to my clinic. Canadian people are stupid people, they will believe anything online and go by these online ratings, whether its a restaurant, doctor, school or pizza place
TK I need your thoughts on this. I think its a brilliant plan. Your Vancouver wife can also work there if she wants.

HW36, I have found out details about it. Its about $ 500,000 to start a Medical Clinic.
I will put in $ 100 K & you will put in $ 100 K , so we will be 50:50 buiness partners. You will be called
Businesswoman36 from now onwards, so please make NOTE of that.
So we will have 40 % down payment ( $ 200 K ), the remaining $ 300 K will be from bank as a mortgage or business loan.
TK will have NO ownership or stake in the buisness, he will be strictly an employee only, but a Manager.

its a risky venture, but its a high reward - high risk situation .
FLU season will be starting soon in Canada , giving FLU shots is a VERY good business in Canada. I have NEVER taken a FLU shot in my life & never will, they are a WASTE of time. But Goras & Goris are into it, so we will have to give FLU shots in our medical clinic, nice money making business.
There will be lot of media coverage in Canada now, about how a NEW strain of FLU has come this year, its different from last year, please take your FLU shot blah blah, so its free advertising for us.
