Thanks for acknowledging that. However, regret to burst your bubble, but I studied in 'Pukka Hindi' medium.
We know for sure that less than 1% of the people will be following English News Media to know about current events.
But nowadays, we have a strong suspicion that the English News Media national interest too is the same less than 1%.
Firstly, last month we had the visit of Modi to UN/USA for his speech and also for discussions with USA regarding our bilateral ties. Unfortunately, it coincided with Pakistan Nawaz Sherif's visit and his speech the previous day. Immediately our ENM and people like Arnab Goswami went to town with their cacophony that there will be "talks" with Pakistan on the "sidelines".
People of the country heaved a sigh of relief when Modi stuck to his itinerary and ignored Pakistan. Modi had already told them quite clearly that they have to choose between him and the traitors of Kashmir. Pakistan had made the choice and they have to live with their choice.
And now we have the SAARC summit in Kathmandu and Karan Thapar was seen and heard lobbying for talks with Pakistan. He even justified that Pakistan talked to traitors of Kashmir even during the days of Vajpayee. With the kind of grey matter overflowing from his head it is unlikely that he had forgotten the numerous terrorist attacks Pakistan has staged in India after Vajpayee's days including the 26/11.
Only reason people with common sense can think of is that these ENM people think that it pays to support Pakistan.
