Hmm dunno about Banglore is better or Toronto. But teh point is India is rocking with call center jobs right now as well as IT outsourcing. IT jobs will stay there for long i am sure but call center depends on how well we perform in customer service and if our accent is ignored by the Yankees. Philipines is a strong contender for call center jobs btw and is picking up fast. Being from Delhi i know there are many call centers near my home in DLF and growth is good. Very good. s someone said earlier after a years exposure u get to be a team leader or a project manager. salary also jumps to minimum of INR 30,000 - 40,000 . North america is one placce where its never too late to start a new career. Now looking around with the initial stagnation in MBA n then IT jobs . isnt it time we look at other options. accounts, teaching, nursing, ---> these are all excellent carrer choices right now here and much in demand.
Of course if u go back to india you cannot exercise that option of changing yr career from a IT to a Accountant. Here YOU can. So think and choose carefully and then decide.

There is no place on Earth which you can say is 100% Good or Bad....same about Canada.........

The important thing is you should check what is applicable to you.......People at different positions, backgrounds, language skills, personality etc. have different adaptability criteria in Canada

I know many IT people with same qualification and experience came to Canada....some succeeded, some didn't.........

The baseline is...try and try..if you succeed...good, else try those places where you will be successful........

If you are successful in Canada be there...else go to someplace where you will be successful.........

What you need in life is prosperity and happiness.........if you achive that in India..be there....or go wherever you achieve that...be it US, UK, Canada or anywhere...............

I will suggest to all IT guys , think of UK also as good option apart from india & canada for permanent living. The banglore offer good salaries . For uk immigration one needs 7500 pounds per annum to showing in earning income( under HSMP scheme) ie around 6.3 lakhs. That is bit tuff job as no PF, gratuity , bonus etc are allowed to be counted in ur income. Only monthly gross taxable income is allowed. I am still short of around 200 pounds, hope to get passed this ceritria in 3-4 month times.
ALso I find if you applied for IT jobs is uk ( just showing that one do not require work permit for uk) then jobs are thier from 35 k to 40 k pounds per annum. On the other hand when I applied for canada ( just showing I have PR status ) very rare one or two query comes. This way I judge thats jobs are more in uk than canada.
I have applied for canada under skill catagory in march 2002 ( no response nether now I expect another 2 years much response from chc delhi). For hsmp uk only 3-4 months of processing takes. So even if you guys are not qualifying for uk now. Plan that way in year time & then apply. Even then u will reach uk faster than compare to 4-5 years wait of canada from chc delhi.
