Any body taken this in India from here ,does it work over there ?

Are you talking about Wifi version? Wifi version does work. Most of my relatives did not have Wifi, they all use wireless USB stick on laptop or desktop, so tablet usage is pretty limited for browsing unless you have regular broadband with wireless router.

I already booked two Blackberry 32 gb playbook wifi to give as a gift in India.

question: if we set up wireless router with regular BSNL internet connection in India than does it work tablet with wifi or not?

is it good idea to buy wireless router from here or good to buy from India and install it?

How about to charging the playbook? can we used regular power adapter or we need a converter?

Your input would be much appreciated.

I took hp tablet wifi version last year to India. We have wifi at our home so it is working fine. Without wifi it has certainly limited use.
For router, As far as I remember, we are using the one in India which I bought from here in Canada on BSNL connection, but really it doesnt matter much (except cost, router there cost between 1000 - 2000 rs)

You can buy the router in India, it will save the adapter hassle and will probably have warranty in India.

Playbook adapter works in India, you just need the adapter that converts the pins as input allowed is 110 to 220 V, so you do not need a step down transformer adapter.
