Can one get a P. Eng certificate online? How important is it for Engineers. Is this on par with the PMP / PMI certification?

P.Eng credentials cannot be obtained online. You would need to apply to the professional engineering board of the province you are in, with all your documentation.

P.Eng is becoming more and more important these days. Almost all engineering consulting companies are asking for it, or at the least looking for your "ability to qualify for P.Eng soon".

PMP if I am not mistaken is the "Professional Management Practise" program administered by APEGGA that concerns corporations, and has nothing to do with individuals.

It is a long process and even if you are P ENG. they ask for canadian exp. under any of the P. ENG. for about atleast 1 year and then only you are qualified to get P ENG. CERTIFICATION...
