Visitor Visa Rejected for Parent
Hi Massood,

Visitor visa application has been rejected for my mother-in-law (Age 60) on basis insufficient income and property ground.

Visa Application attached all requsite documents incl. sponsorer's current job papers +T4 (income 38000) + Paysleep (CAD 4500) and bank balance certificate(CAD 12000) and oter immi papers for visitor visa. Consulate of Delhi has been rejected and gave above reason. I have Government job with CAD 55,000/-

My question is How much income needed for sponsorship parents on visitor visa? and Any remidy against rejection?

Why there is no standard for visitor visa?I know many people who has lessthen 30,000 yearly income and not good job even though their parents got visitor visa without any question.

Please advise me whats the procedure to convince them to get visa.

When I applied for my mother's visa back home, they refused, so my sister who was here and working, called the consulate and spoke to some person in the consular dept. and they asked whether she would sponser our mother for 10 years, i.e. no pension from govt until then. my sister sent a signed letter to the embassy back home. When they issued my mother's visa, they put at the bottom - sponsered for 10 years. See if something like this can be done.

But Hummingbird, ... your Mother was, I think, looking to Migrate here. And 10 year thing is very documented.

I agree with Kap, they don't have one standard for Visitor Visa. May be they are talking about your Mother-in-law. Onlly thing is that ... you would have to try again, and try to be luckier next time.

Kap: you cannot look at hother people. You can appeal this refusal. You should get a lawyer who can advise you further.
