I recd a call just now that our passports have arrived and am going to pick up this evening. Hope to land in Canada by July last week. Will get in touch with the desi club there. Welcome to Canada. If you are coming to Toronto, you should expect a temperature of 30-40 C during end July beginning August.
When I came to Canada, I made a mistake of not listing the things that I could bring in the future to Canada custom free (I was so tired after the lonmg journey). I think it is a good idea of listing as much items and money as you can at the customs counter, which gives you an option of getting them in later, custom and taxfree, and if you dont bring them in in the future, there is no harm either.....

Thanks a lot faisal for ur advise. I have been in the gulf since 1992 where temps reach 55 C with 85%+ humidity. Plus being brought up in Hyderabad India, I have seen 45 C with 0% hmuidity. Once i reach there, can I call myself a seasoned man!!!

I've been there too for some time. But I never saw the 55 c temp in the news or newspaper! you know why? because if the temp goes more than 50, according to UAE labour law they have to give their employees a paid day off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
