I applied in August 2003 and the consulate started processing my file on 8th aug 2003, some of my friends who filed later then me with processing dates after mine have received notifications on med and waivers ..i havent , should i call on the consulate , if so what mode should i use

COMMON MISTAKE by applicants: Constantly looking at other appliction. It's a waste of your time at this point. Don't lose sleep over it. It hasn't even been a year yet. If you feel others are getting response faster and you are being left behind, by all means write to the embassy.

I don't see anything to worry about at this point. Besides, not same officer handles ALL files. Speed does vary from person to person.

Since the processing times shown on wesbite shows as Aug 2003 as the processing time i thought of getting a second opinion
