Dear All,

What would be an approximate annual cost for activities such as Skating, Swimming, Tae Kwon do etc..???

Our son is 4 and would be starting educational journey soon. We have been researching on Private/IB and Public school options. There are tons of factors attached to this important decision.

Apart from the school cost, we also have to take these costs in to consideration and then should take a final decision.

Please share your experience.

Most of these classes each will be anywhere from $50 to $90 for about 6 to 8 thirty minute sessions. You can now estimate the annual expense based on the above.

around 3-4000 per year if you take summer camp also. i have 2 daughters & we are spending so much since last 10 years

Thanks Dimple2001 and desi_thriller. This will give surely us an idea as how much extra we have to plan every year in addition to his school fees (if at all we put him in IB ($10000/Year) or Private school (mostly Sherwood heights @ the same fees almost)).

We are still brain storming on this subject and have to decide in the next few days. Since our son is born in Feb/2008, he will lose one year in Public school (Jr Kg in Sept-2012). Where as private/IB is ready to take him in Sr. KG in Sept-2012.

However the second thought is that we put him in PUBLIC and spend more money on activities, Sunday school etc..

Let it flow as I am sure, this would help many parents like us. By the way, I am not getting more responses from parents who did explore IB-PYP (Primary Years program) for their kids.
