Is anyone have any good sample reference letter or any link to get a ref. letter from their previous professor for further study.

I tried on Google and found some para but still need a good idea for opening, body and closing the letter.

Ideally the letter should make it clear that the Prof knows your work and feels that you are definitely a cut above the rest. He/She should make reference to your strong qualities and academic achievements (which you could remind him/her of). I am not sure where you are getting the reference from but anything less than a very enthusiastic recommendation (as is typical of Indian university ref. letters that tend to lean towards caution) will not be very helpful to you as it would seem as if the Professor does not really think very highly of you. Yet the recommendation should not look fake/insincere. This balance can only be achieved by citing examples of why the prof thinks so highly of you.
