My parents are planning to visit me from India and stay for 6 months in Edmonton.

Please advice any good insurance companies where I can buy "travellers insurance" for my parents that covers they stay in Canada (Health)?

There are a few tricks to buting visitors to canada insurance, including buying two separate policies -one for each parent. That'll help ensure that any possible refunds can happen if one parent returns home early with out a claim. If both parents are named under one policy, and one person has a claim, no refunds are possible. Likewise, only if both return without a claim would a refund be possible.
